Elementary School marks many important stepping stones in a student’s academic career. It is during this time that students learn important reading, writing and computational skills. These basic skills will carry students on to their lifes work. In addition students learn important social skills which help them work in a variety of group setting and teaching them the importance of cooperation and team work.
The eighth grade is a time of transition. It is a time where the elementary career comes to a close, opening the way to the beginning of the high school experience. eScholar Academy supports this transition by raising academic expectations so a foundation for high school can be soundly built. In order to graduate from 8th grade and move on to high school, students must complete the following requirements:
1. Successful completion of all 8th grade classes with a B or better.
2. Pass the Constitution test with a 70% or better (Students may take versions of the test until they pass).
3. A project that focuses on a student’s interests. Students will present their project at the end of the year.
